Majestic jazz cuts from Kenny Dixon Jr's jazz sessions. The centrepiece of this incredible album is the eighteen minute deep jazz of 'When She Follows'. Chopped live drum rolls, looping acoustic bass, electric piano stabs and distant saxophone all wrapped up in the soulful vocal that drifts ever onwards like some epic detroit techno cut replayed by Gil Scott Heron's band in 1970. 'Rectify' follows in a similar method, pure jazz in a detroit techno framework. The final two tracks 'Dirty Little Bonus Beats' and 'When She (Reprise)' are revisions of the main cuts, the former alters the bassline, adds female vocal sighs and more rhythmic drum grooves, while the latter shifts up the tempo and develops a wigged out techno synth element.
